PostSubject: Lee-Hom Wang and Former Kuomintang Chairman Sing along   Sat Nov 24, 2007 4:38 am

Former Chairman of Taiwan's Kuomintang Party Ma Ying-jeou and American Chinese pop singer Lee-Hom Wang were invited to a talk show hosted by Taiwan's "30 Magazine" to communicate with the young audience Tuesday night.

Bringing together the two "men of the time" from the political world and the music world, the show proved to be a success generating laughter and in-depth talks on life and the future.

Dressed in jeans and a Polo shirt, Ma sang the song "I Understand" together with Wang on the stage, saying this is the first song he practiced with his guitar in high school.

Although their career paths may never cross, Ma and Wang shared the same persistent attitude towards life.

Wang believes that it is never too old to learn and he said one way to make breakthroughs in life was to open your heart and learn from people working in different fields.

While Ma, who has been "out of work" since February as he said himself, the long standstill taught him many life lessons that he could have never learned while studying at Harvard.

In response to audience's question of how to overcome setbacks in one's life, Wang suggested to enjoy working and Ma urged the youngsters to be self-reliant and also to widen their horizons through traveling.
