Rain appointed public relations ambassador for 2011 World Championship in Athletics [2007-10-22]

Rain has been appointed the public relations ambassador for the 2011 World Championship in Athletics. On the 3rd of October, he attended the opening ceremony of the 2007 Daegu Athletics Meeting, where he was officially appointed the PR ambassador for the 2011 event. The ceremony drew in 50,000 spectators. While there, he also spontaneously met with Ryu Si-ang, the world-record holder for the 110m hurdle who visited Rain's dressing room. On the 27th, Rain will hold a large-scale concert at Daegu's World Cup Stadium to promote the 2011 World Championship in Athletics. He has made further headlines for refusing to accept any compensation for the performance.
